Amber Clower
As an Army brat, my upbringing involved frequent moves across various states in the U.S. and overseas- spending 6 years in Germany, 2 in Colombia, and 1 in China. It left me with a unique conundrum in adulthood – the search for a place to call home. Naturally after moving from my parent’s place, I kept up the frequent moves, at a loss of where to go. However, amidst this nomadic existence, a profound love for travel took root and blossomed. To date, I have eagerly explored 31 captivating countries and the count continues to rise.
My love for travel has taken me on many adventures. I’ve been nearly stranded in Zhangjiajie National Forest, learned Mandarin in Beijing, trekked with monks on a hidden trail in Thailand, visited the equator in Ecuador, went to school in Bogota, camped under the stars with strangers in Moab, UT, explored the ruins of Pompeii, and am currently studying yoga in India.
In addition to my wanderlust, I have a deep affection for literature, writing, music, history, culture, travel, film photography, and yoga. I’m a creative-minded person who is always looking for new ways to challenge myself and explore my interests. As a result, I find it difficult to hold down a job that doesn’t allow me to express my creativity or work in my field of interest.
So- a proper welcome to all those who’ve made it to my blog where I’ll be recording all my adventures, mishaps, and other random bits of my life. Don’t know where I’ll end up or end up doing, but feel free to join me on my solo-journey as I look to ways for exploring and celebrating the richness of life and the infinite possibilities that await us at every turn.
