chaos to purpose
I’ve applied to a Chinese university in Beijing to learn Mandarin, solo-traveled to Thailand (where, I’d like to proudly inform, I jumped off a moving train James Bond style), lived out of my car in Seattle while venturing up and down the coast- dipped my toes into the idea and belief of freedom. But have I ever bought a ticket out of my home country without an end destination in mind?
No. This would be a first.

My Approach
An American but native to nowhere, I’ve lived a full life, moving from place to place. Having no hometown or home state has given me reason to live a near nomadic lifestyle- Exploring new cities, landscapes, and countries. I’ve learned it isn’t about where you’re from, but who you can become by immersing yourself in different cultures and life experiences.

Providing you with the cheapest ways to travel
Limits are man-made. An idea we create that prevents living our full potential. Undeterred by my lack of funds, my unyielding desire to explore the world has led me to uncover the most effective strategies for embarking on transformative journeys with a budget of less than 1k.
New Perspectives
Navigating my own personal struggles with depression and anxiety has given me an understanding of the challenges they bring. I get the desire to remain in bed, the unease that accompanies social interactions. But let me assure you, it is absolutely worthwhile to combat those negative thoughts and defy societal expectations, taking courageous leaps towards your dreams. Embrace the realm of the unknown. Out there exists extraordinary encounters with diverse cultures, enlightening perspectives, invaluable friendships, and exhilarating adventures waiting to unfold.

Such a simple, ordinary sight yet peculiar purely for the fact I’ve never seen something like that back in the States. Smoking isn’t as common back home as it… Read more: White & Green Smoke - Jay Aghori Baba! (And Weed)
Can’t entirely remember how it started, but “Jay Aghori Baba!” (Hail Aghori Baba!) is essentially an inside joke between my friend and I back while I was in India. We spent the month randomly cheering “Jay Aghori Baba!” Aghori Babas fascinate me, therefore it’s a goal to find a legit Aghori Baba just to sit… Read more: Jay Aghori Baba! Solo traveling has its ups and downs. Especially for someone such as myself who has struggled with depression and anxiety throughout much of my life. Even harder when months later, I’m still mentally handling a rough breakup from the beginning of this year. Solo traveling with those considerations in mind, you are very much aware… Read more: Skeletons and Head Monsters - Espresso, Aliens, and Chicken Heart
Exactly as the title states. Travel ramblings related to espresso, aliens, and “odd” food. - Fried Idli & Bread Pakora (Pakode)
India serves up a delicious gluten-free fried snack and one that’s not so gluten-free but equally as mouth-watering (if not more). All hail fried foods.
